This weekly event, part of the Summer on the Plaza series, is brought to you by Oakland Central and Comedy Oakland and features a rotating lineup of the funniest comedians around.
Featuring:
*** Micia Mosely, PhD, is a comedian and educator who performs her brand of social justice standup and facilitates educational equity workshops across the country. She is also known for her one-woman show, Where My Girls At?, a comedy about Black lesbians. Currently she is the executive director of the Black Teacher Project, an organization committed to recruiting, developing, and sustaining Black teachers for schools in the United States.
*** Walker Glenn is a stand-up comic, writer, podcaster, and the grumpy dad you didn’t know you wanted. In 2023 he performed in Treefort Fest and SF Sketchfest. He is a regular at Cheaper Than Therapy and Laughs Unlimited, a frequent contributor to the punk news/satire site the Hard Times, and host of the podcast Idiotalk. He lives in Oakland, CA with his human son and canine dog, and he is not mad at you— he’s just disappointed.
