JUNE 2016 | EVENT
Mr. Escovedo was born in Pittsburg, California, on July 13, 1935. He attended McClymond’s High School, where an art teacher inspired his passion for painting. His wife Juanita attended Oakland Technical High School, and the two raised their children (Sheila E., Juan, Peter Michael, and Zina) in West Oakland, East Oakland, and Alameda, before relocating to Los Angeles 15 years ago. The Art World of Mr. E represents his life on canvas, where “family first” has been and continues to be their foundation for music, love, and life.
