AUGUST 2016 | DINING
NomNom is an online community designed to help you discover handcrafted meals from local startup food-makers. Not every aspiring chef has the resources to open their own physical restaurant. Our mission is to help talented food-makers share their passion for cooking with the people around them. All of our meals are made with love by aspiring chefs at certified commercial kitchens.
Q. What inspired you to start your business?
The inspiration behind NomNom came from my personal experience. My parents were immigrants from China and are passionate and talented chefs. However, they never had the capital or resources to open their own restaurant. In order to support the family, they both had to work as line-cooks and had no flexibility or creativity in their job. We want to help talented chefs everywhere share their passion through selling authentic, culturally inspired dishes with the people around them
